We will pull your site apart, in writing, for nothing

Send us your website or describe the workflow eating your week. You get back a written teardown: what is actually broken, what it is costing you in real terms, and what we would do about it. Yours to keep and act on, with us or without us.

What arrives

A document, not a sales call

Nobody will phone you. There is no calendar link, no discovery session, and no deck. You get the findings in writing and you decide what to do with them.

What we look at
  • Your site on a real phone, not a designer's monitor
  • Load speed and what is making it slow
  • What a customer has to do to actually reach you
  • How your reviews and reputation are being used, or wasted
  • What your competitors are doing that you are not
What you get back
  • The specific problems, ranked by what they cost you
  • Screenshots of the failures, not adjectives
  • What we would fix first, second, and never
  • An honest read on whether it is worth fixing at all
  • A number, if you want one
What it costs
  • Nothing
  • No obligation and no follow-up sequence
  • No contract to look at
  • Keep the findings either way
  • Hand them to another developer if you like
The obvious question

Why would anyone do this free?

Because it is the same work we would do anyway before pitching, and because handing it over is a better argument than any sales pitch we could write.

Every site in our portfolio started as an audit nobody asked for. We read the business, find what is broken, and write it down. Historically the next step was building the replacement and showing it finished.

The teardown is just the first half of that, handed to you directly. If it is useful and you want the second half, you know where we are. If it is useful and you go fix it yourself, that is a fine outcome too, and it costs us an afternoon.

The catch, stated plainly: some of you will read it and hire us. That is the whole model. Nobody is going to chase you if you do not.

Read three real teardowns, anonymized, to see what turns up.

Then what

If you do want it built

The teardown is the small version of how everything here works: see the real thing before you commit to anything.

01

Teardown

Free, written, yours. No call and no obligation attached to it.

02

The build

We build the real replacement, with your content in it, before you pay anything.

03

You decide

Open it on your phone. If it is not clearly better, you owe nothing.

04

Live

Launched on your domain, maintained, and portable if you ever leave.

The document

What is actually in it

Usually three to six pages, written as prose rather than a scorecard. Screenshots where a screenshot settles it. No grades out of a hundred and no traffic-light dashboard.

The headlineThe single worst thing, stated first, with what it is costing you.
Confirmed defectsEach with the command or source that produced it, so you can check any of them.
The phone testWhat your site does on a real phone on a real connection, screenshotted.
Reputation auditWhere your reviews live, who controls them, and whether you are using them at all.
CompetitorsWhat the two or three shops nearest you are doing that you are not.
Killed claimsWhat looked broken and turned out fine. This section is the point.
What we would doRanked, with what we would not bother fixing and why.
A numberOnly if you asked for one.

You can see the real thing on the examples page, with three businesses anonymized and the findings left intact.

Fit

Who this is and is not for

We would rather say this up front than waste an afternoon each. If you are in the right column, please do not send one.

GOOD FIT

Send one if

  • You own a business with real customers and a website you never look at
  • You pay somebody monthly and cannot remember what for
  • Your reputation lives entirely on Google and you control none of it
  • You suspect something is broken but do not know what
  • You are about to hire somebody and want a second read first
POOR FIT

Do not bother if

  • You want a free redesign mockup rather than an assessment
  • You need it back today
  • You are collecting quotes to beat your current developer down on price
  • The site was built last year by somebody competent
  • You are a student, agency, or competitor doing research
HONEST NOTE

Sometimes the answer is nothing

  • Plenty of businesses are doing fine as they are
  • A good Google profile beats a bad website
  • If that is the finding, that is what the document says
  • It has happened and it will happen again
  • You keep the teardown regardless
Straight answers

The questions people actually have

Mostly variations on “what is the catch,” which is a reasonable thing to wonder about anything free.

How long does it take?

Days, not weeks, and you will get a note if it is going to be longer. It is genuinely free work, so it fits around paid work, but nobody is left wondering.

Will I end up on a mailing list?

There is no mailing list. There is no drip sequence, no retargeting pixel, and no CRM quietly scoring you. You send an email, you get a document, and that is the entire mechanism.

Can I show it to my current developer?

Please do. Every finding comes with the command that produced it precisely so somebody technical can verify it rather than take our word. If they fix it, the teardown did its job.

What if I do not have a website at all?

Then we tear down what you do have: your Google profile, your reviews, and how somebody actually finds and contacts you today. For a lot of businesses that is the more useful document anyway.

Why not just charge for this?

Because charging turns it into a deliverable with scope negotiations attached, and the whole value is that it arrives with no strings. It also keeps us honest: a paid audit has a quiet incentive to find problems, and a free one does not.

Your website address and one line about what bothers you most is enough to start. If you have no website at all, describe the business and we will tear down what you have instead.
